Back in 2005, during my senior year of High School I started my babysitting path, looking after my neighbors’ children during my spare time and holidays. That was my very first time working with kids, and soon enough I realize that it was something I really like doing. It never felt like working it was equally fun for the kids than it was for me.

Later on I decided to volunteer at the “Little Cottolengo Don Orione”, a non-profit institution that provides comprehensive care to adults with special conditions and / or in situations of abandonment. My work was based on providing moments of joy and happiness to the “children” who live there, through games and several recreational activities, aiming to help them to achieving personal grooming habits and even train some of them with specific working skills.

Then I started university, and just half way through I was hired as a substitute teacher in the computer area, teaching 4 classes of 30 students each. After graduating I worked as Professor, reassuring my real passion not just for teaching, but teaching children, more specifically, children with disabilities.

Since then, and for over 6 years I worked with kids with special conditions such as Autism, Asperger Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, triplegia Spastic syndrome and psychiatric, amongst others.

In February 2016 my husband and I moved to Australia, and quickly after settling in, I went back to the origins of my career and have had the opportunity to look after some amazing Aussie kiddos.
